This is the 2017-18 Newfoundland West Coast Senior Hockey League season. This is the league's second season as a relaunched league after having last played during the 2010-11 season.
The league is being played as purely amateur league with no imports. League president Andy Brake indicated that participation in the 2018 Herder Memorial Trophy tournament was discussed but he found it highly unlikely that the league will have a representative participating. The league will have each team playing 18 games with three home and away games against each of the other members of the league.[1] On September 29th the league confirmed that the league will not compete for the Herder in the spring.[2][3]
