- League announced partnership agreement with HockeyTech, the worldwide leader in providing hockey-related technologies, analytics, and information services.
- Bantam Draft held in Winnipeg on June 4th.
- League schedules first-ever Prospect Development Camp for July 27th to 30th at the Seven Oaks Arena.
- League schedules Showcase for December 11th to 13th in Winnipeg at the MTS IcePlex.
- League announced they will hold a U.S. Prospects Camp in Grand Forks, May 12 & 13, 2018.
- League launched a mobile app for smart phones and tablets.
- SJHL and MJHL announced the 1st MJHL/SJHL Showcase to be held in Regina, January 15th and 16th.
- MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis appointed a vice-chair with the Canadian Junior Hockey League.
- League produced a new promotional video aimed at promoting the league and attracting players.
- League renamed Hockey Ability and Sportsmanship Award to Frank McKinnon Memorial Trophy.
- CJHL announced the return of the ANAVET Cup series.
