Playoffs[]
Format[]
The top 4 teams in each division qualify for the playoffs. The first two round series are best-of-seven. The semifinal and final series are best of five The playoff champion advances to the 2018 Cyclone Taylor Cup which is being held in Richmond, British Columbia hosted by the Richmond Sockeyes out of the Minoru Arena. Traditionally, the Cyclone Taylor Cup champion advances to the Keystone Cup which determines the Western Canada Junior B champion but the three leagues which compete for the Cyclone Taylor Cup have agreed not to compete in the Keystone Cup any longer citing expenses and player safety as their primary concerns. BC Hockey does not require their provincial champions to compete at the regional or national level. Hockey Alberta has also announced they will not allow their teams to compete at the Keystone Cup either.
