This is the 2017-18 Beaver Lakes Hockey League season.
The league had five forfeits (out of a 30 game schedule) during the season including three in the last 8 days of the regular season.
Membership Changes
- The Moosomin Warriors who folded after the 2016-17 season started do not return
- The Big River Braves are no longer in the league with no announcement from the league
- The league announced the addition of the Onion Lake Border Chiefs (who last played at the senior level in the Sask/Alta Senior Hockey League for the 2011-12 season), Mistawasis Warriors, and the Saulteaux 3 Stars (who last played in the Saskatchewan Prairie Senior Hockey League from 2010 to 2012). All three teams have a history as members of the defunct Treaty Six Hockey League. The Mistawasis Warriors would not be listed on the league website at the start of the season. However, another team named the Muskeg Lake Blades are added to the league. Neither team would start play for the season

Playoffs
La Ronge 89ers did not participate after forfeiting their last two regular season games. The team announced that it would not compete in the following season due to lack of commitment from the players[1].
