The four Alberta based teams will then partiicipate in the [[2018 Alberta Senior AAA Playoffs]] which will consist of the four teams participating in a two round best-of-seven series with the winner of that tournament advancing to the [[2018 Allan Cup]] being held in [[Rosetown, Saskatchewan]] and being hosted by the [[Rosetown Red Wings]].  Tradtionally, the Alberta champion meets the British Columbia champion for a spot in the Allan Cup, however, there are no teams registered at the Senior AAA level in British Columbia so the Alberta champion directly advances to the Allan Cup this year.
