This is the 2016-17 Qu'Appelle Valley Junior C Hockey League season. This is the league's second season.
Membership Changes[]
- The Indian Head Chiefs who were announced but were dropped before the schedule came out for 2015-16 do not return
- On March 8, 2017 the league announces the addition of the Bredenbury Tundra and the Wolseley Jr. Mustangs for the 2017-18 season.
- The league held its spring meeting on April 2, 2017 and announced the addition of two more teams for the 2017-18 season, the Cupar Canucks and the Yellow Grass Wheatkings.

note: a December 17th game between Balcarres and Regina was cancelled and appears not to be rescheduled as it would have no effect on the final positions in the standings.
Lumsden forfeited a 6-2 victory to White Butte on December 11th. White Butte was awarded a 1-0 victory. The forfeit was due to the use of a player that was inadvertently omitted from the roster.

All teams qualify. Both rounds are best-of-five.
