Conference Tournament[]
Format[]
All teams qualify. The top two seeds earn a bye to the semifinals. The third place team plays the sixth place team and the fourth place team plays the fifth place team in the quarterfinals. The tournament format was changed to a single elimination tournament held at one site over three days. The tournament is being held at HarborCenter in Buffalo, New York March 2-4, 2017. The conference tournament champion earns the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey Tournament.
