2015-16 NCJHL Season

This is the 2015-16 National Capital Junior Hockey League season.  This is the league's 6th season under this name and 48th season overall dating back to its' founding as the Eastern Ontario Junior C Hockey League.

Membership Changes

• The league added the application of the Morrisburg Lions formerly of the Junior B level Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League which was re-organized as the Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2 under an affilation arrangement with the Junior A level Central Canada Hockey League.
• The Gatineau Jr Olympues were renamed the Gatineau Hull-Volant.
• The La Peche Predators were renamed the Outaouais Jr. Academy.

Format

With the realignment of the league the league went to the top four teams in each division qualifying for the playoffs.  All series are best-of-seven.

North Semifinals

• Papineauville Vikings defeated Cumberland Bandits
• 4 games to 1 (3-2, 3-4, 6-1, 3-0, 6-4)
• Gatineau-Hull Volant defeated Rockland Nationals 4 games to 2 (5-2, 5-4, 4-5, 3-2, 1-3, 4-2)

South Semifinals

• Embrun Panthers defeated North Dundas Rockets 4 games to 1 (9-3, 7-1, 3-5, 7-4, 6-4)
• St. Isidore Eagles defeated Vankleek Hill Cougars 4 games to 2 (5-4 (2ot), 3-5, 1-4, 5-1, 5-2, 4-2)

North Final

• Papineauville Vikings defeated Gatineau-Hull Volant 4 games to none (5-4, 5-2, 5-4, 4-3 (2ot))

South Final

• Embrun Panthers defeated St. Isidore Eagles 4 games to 2 (8-4, 5-7, 4-1, 8-2, 3-7, 2-0)

League final

• Papineauville Vikings defeated Embrun Panthers 4 games to 2 (1-4, 3-4, 6-2, 9-1, 4-3, 4-3 (ot))
