This is the 2015-16 Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League season. This is the league's 58 season dating back to it founding as the Eastern Ontario League. The league champion competes in the 2016 Clarence Schmalz Cup.
This would be the league's final season under this identity as a major consolidation which had been In the works since 2014, in the spring of 2016 it was announced that the eight Junior C leagues of the Ontario Hockey Association would merge for the 2016-17 season to create the Provincial Junior Hockey League. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs. Teams are re-seeded after the quarterfinals. All series are best-of-seven.
