The 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Tournament was a tournament to determine the Division III national champion in women's ice hockey. This was the fifteenth time a national championship tournament at the Division III level had been held and was the thirteenth one sanctioned by the NCAA.

Format[]

Eight teams qualify for the single elimination tournament. The conference tournament champions of the ECAC East, ECAC West, MIAC, NCHA, and NESCAC received automatic bids to the tournament. Three at-large bids were also selected. The first round games were held at campus sites on March 14 and 15. The semifinal and final rounds were held March 21 and 22 at Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena of SUNY Plattsburgh, the highest remaining seed in the tournament.

At-Large Bids[]

Pool C (Non-champs from all conferences)[]

  • This is the 2nd of 9 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances for Elmira.
  • This is the 1st of 4 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances for St. Thomas.
  • As of 2025, this remains as UW-Stevens Point's last NCAA tournament appearance.
  • After 4 schools break away from the NCHA, the WIAC gets 2 teams into the field in its first season of sponsoring women's hockey.
  • The West region has a record 4 teams qualify for the tournament, preventing first round flights for the first time in the 8-team era.
  • St. Thomas and Williams both make their first national postseason appearance since 2003.
  • This marks the first time that neither Middlebury nor Gustavus qualify for the national tournament.
