The 2013 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, Division I was played in two groups of six teams each. In each group the first place team was promoted to the next level, while the last place team was relegated to play in a lower level. The winner of Group B was promoted to Group A and the winner of Group A was promoted to the top division.[1][2] Group A was played in Amiens, France, between December 9 and December 15, 2012. Group B was played in Donetsk, Ukraine, between December 10 and December 16, 2012.[3][4]
