Due to the 2012 Allan Cup being held in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan the 2012 Rathgaber Cup was not needed due to the fact that no team from Quebec was participating in Allan Cup qualifying. Traditionally, the host branch would receive the unused bid and the regional bid would go to the team that would have been the final opponent in qualifying.

The South East Prairie Thunder defeated the Manitoba Lightning to win the Patton Cup as Manitoba Senior AAA champions and advance to the 2012 Allan Cup as Western Region representative.
Saskatchewan[]
The Lloydminster Border Kings qualified for the 2012 Allan Cup as the host team.
The Rosetown Redwings defeated teh Balgonie Bisons in the Saskatchewnan Provincial Senior AAA tournament to qualify for the 2012 Allan Cup via the unused Quebec spot in the tournament.
