Ice hockey at the 2011 Winter Universiade was held from January 27 to February 6 at the 3000 Ice Rink and 500 Ice Rink in Erzurum, Turkey. Canada was represented by an all-star team from Ontario University Athletics in the men's tournament and by a select team from across all Canadian Interuniversity Sport in the women's tournament.

Preliminary Round[]
The twelve participating teams were placed in one of three groups. After playing a round-robin, the top two teams in each group plus the top two third placed teams advanced to the quarter-finals. The remaining teams competed in the Placing Round.
Teams received 3 points for a win, 2 points for an overtime or shootout win, and 1 point for an overtime or shootout loss.
