The first game of the final set a record for the longest games in collegiate history Canadian Interuniversity Sport or National Collegiate Athletic Association. The game lasted 6 overtimes. The first overtime was ten minutes and then four more twenty minute periods and the game was decided 17:14 into the sixth overtime period with a goal by Morgan McHaffie.
