The 2010–11 New York Rangers season is the New York Rangers ' 84th season in the National Hockey League .
On June 17, the New York Rangers announced that they will be playing six games in the pre-season. There will be three sets of home-and-home series against the New Jersey Devils, Detroit Red Wings, and the Ottawa Senators.[1]
The New York Rangers will attempt to make the playoffs after missing the playoffs last season, the first time since the lockout.
