The 2009 NZIHL season is a season of the New Zealand Ice Hockey League. The finals was played in Christchurch on September 6th 2009 and saw the Canterbury Red Devils defeat the Southern Stampede by the score of 5-4.

Playoffs[]
The league's playoffs consisted of a single match played between the top two teams of the regular season. The game was held on September 6th in Christchurch on the home ice of the best team of the regular season, the Canterbury Red Devils. The Red Devils defeated the Southern Stampede 5-4.
