Franchise changes[]
- The Richmond Riverdogs relocated to Hoffman Estates, Illinois and became the Chicago Hounds.
- The Bloomington Prairie Thunder were added as an expansion team.
- The Adirondack Frostbite, Missouri River Otters, Roanoke Valley Vipers, Danbury Trashers, and Motor City Mechanics folded
