The 2006–07 CHL season was the 15th season of the Central Hockey League (CHL).
Franchise changes[]
- The Fort Worth Brahmas suspend operations for the season due to lease isssues, they return for the 2007-08 season are renamed the Texas Brahmas when they move to the NYTEX Sports Centre in suburban North Richland Hills.
- The Prescott Valley, Arizona based Arizona Sundogs and the Broomfield, Colorado based Rocky Mountain Rage are added as expansion teams.
- The New Mexico Scorpions return to the league after a one year hiatus and relocation to a new facility in suburban Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

The top six teams in each conference qualified for the playoffs. All series were best-of-seven. The highest seeded first round losing team advanced to the second round as a wild card team.
