The 2005–06 CHL season was the 14th season of the Central Hockey League (CHL).
Franchise changes[]
- The New Mexico Scorpions sat out the season to prepare to move to a new facility (Santa Ana Star Center) being built in the Albuquerque suburb of Rio Rancho.
- The San Angelo Saints and the Topeka Tarantulas folded.
- The Youngstown SteelHounds were added as an expansion team
