The 2004 East Regional of the NCAA Tournament took place March 26 and 27, 2004, at Pepsi Arena in Albany, New York. The regional was hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

The participants were:

Wisconsin advanced to the NCAA Tournament by way of an at-large bid. Maine was the Hockey East champion. Ohio State was the CCHA champion. Harvard was the ECAC champion.

Final Edit

Maine and Wisconsin faced off in the East Regional Final on March 27. Mike Hamilton scored 3:27 into the first overtime period to send the Black Bears back to the Frozen Four after missing in 2003.
