The 2000 IIHF World Women Championships Pool B qualification tournaments were held between March 19-March 29, 1999. Two tournaments were held, one in Szekesfehervar in Hungary and one in Asia. Italy and Kazakhstan won the tournaments and proceeded to the main Pool B championship.

In Group A, it was a single round robin, with the top team qualifying for the 2001 Pool B championship, while Pool B was played as a best of three series between the two Asian teams.
