This is the 2000 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament.  The tournament was held from March 10 to March 18, 2000. The winner of the tournament did NOT receive an automatic bid to the 2000 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.

Format[]

Only the top eight teams (out of ten) in the regular season standings qualified for the tournament.  All rounds were single elimination.  The quarterfinal round was held at the home rink of the higher seeded team.  Teams were reseeded after the quarterfinal round.   The semifinal and final rounds were held at the UConn Ice Arena located in Storrs, Connecticut, the home rink of the UConn Huskies.
