Franchise changes[]
- The former Alaska Gold Kings franchise returns to the league after moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado and they are renamed the Colorado Gold Kings.
- The Bakersfield Fog are renamed the Bakersfield Condors.
- The Reno Rage cease operations prior to the start of the season.
- Fresno's Fighting Falcons revert to the Fresno Falcons name.
- The Tucson Gila Monsters folded 21 games into the season.
