The 1991–92 Los Angeles Kings season was the franchise's 25th season in the National Hockey League. The Kings finished 2nd in the Smythe Division and lost in the Division Semi-finals to the Edmonton Oilers 4 games to 2.

Off-season[edit | edit source]

In the Entry Draft, the Kings first pick, in the second round, was used to choose Guy Leveque from the Cornwall Royals of the Ontario Hockey League. Their first-round pick had been dealt to the Edmonton Oilers in the Wayne Gretzky trade.

The Kings were coached by Tom Webster and captained by Wayne Gretzky.
