Alberta-Saskatchewan Playoff[]
- SAIT Trojans defeated STI Beavers
- Starting in 1981, the 4 West Championship was abandoned and replaced by three regional qualifying series for berths at the CCAA Nationals, one of which was the Alberta-Saskatchewan Playoff. This was the final season in which qualifying series were played for a berth in the CCAA nationals.
SAIT Trojans advanced to the 1982 CCAA Nationals. NAIT Ooks advanced as substitute host to the 1982 CCAA Nationals.
