The 1981-82 Northeastern Huskies women's ice hockey season was their second as a varsity club. It was their first losing season, and last until the 1995-96 season. The Huskies would still qualify for the EAIAW Playoffs, getting swept out of the first round by Providence College. The Huskies would also fail to secure the Cornell invitational championship or the Beanpot.
This was Don MacLeod's first season as head coach, and his only losing season in the role. Beth Murphy, Barbara Muldoon, and Jenny Pollack served as captains. Beth Murphy would return as captain the next season. Pattie Storey led the team in points, and was tied with Jody Cooperman and Carol Latorre for the team lead in assists. Carolyn Sullivan led the team in goals, with 12. Kathy Scanlan was their starting goaltender, posting a 9-8-0 record with a .849 SV% and 4.76 GAA.
Northeastern and Harvard would combine to play the longest ever Women's Beanpot game, a 5OT 3-2 Harvard victory.
