Regular Season[]

Ulf Nilsson, Gerry Odrowski, Anders Hedberg, Robbie Ftorek, Bobby Hull in 1974-75 action.
The Jets were transformed with the signing of Swedish players Ulf Nilsson, Anders Hedberg and Lars-Erik Sjöberg. Nilsson and Hedberg formed the "HOT line" with Bobby Hull and dominated the league in scoring. Hull scored a WHA (and at the time, major league) record of 77 goals in the season and earned the Gary L. Davidson Award as the league's MVP. Nilsson racked up 94 assists (and 120 points), the second highest season total in WHA history (André Lacroix had 106 assists, also in the 1974-75 season) while Hedberg had 100 points.
