History[]
The Canadian Major Junior Hockey League (CMJHL) absorbed all the old Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League teams. When the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association suspended the CMJHL from Memorial Cup competition, Saskatchewan was left without a representative in the national playoffs. To fill that void, three Junior B teams played off for the provincial spot.
