This is the 1960-61 season of the Interprovincial Senior Hockey League:

The Hull Canadiens were the junior-level farm team of the Montreal Canadiens.

The Belleville McFarlands, who withdrew from the Ontario Hockey Association's senior league, tried to enter this league. The other teams turned it down because of high travel costs.

Cornwall was awarded a franchise. However, the team did not materialise because the local junior team had the arena locked up on Sunday nights, the prime time for games.
