This is the 1956-57 Big Six Intermediate Hockey League season.

League Notes[edit | edit source]

  • October 21, 1956------League elects Bill Wilton of Minnedosa as president, Art Kruger of Pine Falls as vice president, and Don Summers of Brandon continues as secretary-treasurer.
  • October 21, 1956------League admits Pine Falls
  • October 21, 1956------Brandon and Souris fold
  • November 18, 1956---League admits Carman
  • December 21, 1956---League suspends Carman
  • January 9, 1957--------League announced that all points resulting from Carman games will remain in the standings. Dauphin was awarded a win and 2 points as to balance the schedule. And player scoring stats from both the December 15th and 20th games were removed from the records.
  • Febuary 11,1957-------MAHA grants Winnipeg Drewrys permission to participate in the Big Six playoffs.
  • Febuary 13, 1957------League President Bill Wilton resigns.
  • Febuary 15, 1957------League forgoes playoffs, as all 3 active teams qualify for MAHA Provincial playoffs.
