The league scheduled the fifth game in the Verdun Auditorium. L'Abord A Plouffe wanted the game played in the St. Laurent Arena which was much closer to its home town. When the league refused to move the game, L'Abord A Plouffe defaulted the game and the Park Extension Wanderers were awarded the league championship.
Park Extension Wanderers advanced to the 1949-50 Quebec Intermediate Playoffs.
