This is the 1946=47 season of the Junior Amateur Hockey Association:
The Verdun Cyclones and the Montreal Winged Wheelers were accepted as expansion teams. The Cyclones were a New York Rangers farm team while all the other teams were affiliated with the Montreal Canadiens.
The Cyclones and Verdun Maple Leafs played their home games @ the Verdun Auditorium and the Winged Wheelers and Lachine Rapides played @ the Lachine Arena. All the other teams called the Montreal Forum home.
This league was the only Junior A league in Quebec. Its champion advanced to the Memorial Cup Playoffs.
