Pre-season[edit | edit source]
The Rangers played a three game series against the New York Americans in western Canada:
- Saturday, October 25 Americans 2 Rangers 1 @ Port Arthur
- Monday, October 27 Rangers 1 Americans 1 @ Winnipeg
- Wednesday, October 29 Rangers 8 Americans 3 @ Winnipeg
The series was split with one win each and one tie.
Regular Season[edit | edit source]
The New York Rangers had a new goaltender as "Sugar" Jim Henry replaced the retired Dave Kerr. Henry was one of the reasons the Rangers finished first, something they would not again do for the next 50 years.
