The Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) insisted that Hamilton play its home game in the next series against Montreal in Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. The Tigers naturally wanted to play at home in Hamilton. When the OHA insisted the Tigers dropped out and were replaced by the Sudbury Falcons.
