History[]
The Winnipeg Winnipegs took a break from Manitoba Senior play in February, 1932, to represent Canada at the 1932 Olympics in Lake Placid.
While they were away, the other 2 teams in Manitoba joined with the two top teams in the Thunder Bay League in a tournament for the Manitoba-Lakehead Trophy. Each Manitoba team played home-and-home with each Thunder Bay team. The teams got two points for a win and one point for each goal scored.
