This is the 1919-20 season of the Montreal Hockey League:

The league played its games in the Victoria Rink.

This league, unlike the Montreal City Hockey League, chose not to affiliate with the Quebec Amateur Hockey Association. It was, therefore, not eligible for the Allan Cup. On the other hand, it was eligible for the Art Ross Cup.

Its champion, Hochelaga, was automatically awarded the Art Ross Cup and then played in a challenge final.
